From childhood, Kathleen had a passion for all things creative and developed an interest in art, craft, textiles and ceramics. After completing a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design (at CSU Wagga Wagga) with a focus on Illustration, she worked as a Graphic Designer for many years both in Australia and the UK. then later completed a Diploma in Textile Design and Printing at East Sydney TAFE. Kathleen has disciplines in life drawing, watercolours, oil and acrylic painting.

This has had a significant influence on her work with textiles and decoration featuring in her portraiture, and foreign places depicted in her paintings. The use of blues and sea greens are a key characteristic in Kathleen’s work and her love of nature and water is evident in her compositions.
